Ambrose I. Lane Sr. remembers Arthur Fletcher by replaying the 1st of 2 interviews done before his death.

Arthur Fletcher, as assistant secretary of Labor under President nixon in 1969, devised the first successful enforcement plan for affrimative action, known as "the revised Philadelphia Plan". In 1972 Fletcher joined the United Negro College Fund as Executive Director and coined its slogan "A mind is a terrible thing to waste.'
